My thoughts and comments on my second trip through Chemotherapy for ovarian cancer.
September 7, 2007

This is what happens when you are on medical leave, doing chemo, and are bored out of your mind.  I got suckered in with one of those infomercials.

With my lastest doctor appointment, I found out I gained 8 pounds since the last visit.  I wasn't surprised.  My clothes have been getting tighter and tighter.  What can I say?  I'm a stress eater.

So now I'm having trouble fitting into some of my big clothes now.  You know, those pants etc that fit nice and loose?  Well, for me, USED TO fit nice and loose.  I'm struggling now just to put them on!  Guess it's okay for the time being since I don't even change out of my pj's most days.  When I do go out for chemo etc, I can't wait to get back home and change into something more comfy.

I gained 40 pounds the first time around with chemo and here I am starting to gain even more.  It's gotten to the point where I need to do something.  So today I did.  I know my husband is going to shake his head at me for doing something stupid like this, but I saw one of those infomercials about some exercise equipment and ordered it this morning.  It looked like something I could do while on chemo and you know how they show all those nice buff bodies for the "after results".  Call me a sucker, but they got to me. It's called fluidity and is mostly about stretching and relaxation.   Sounds good, no?   It's really only a special hand rail that you can lean on like a ballerina but with DVD instructions.   I bet my husband will ask why I don't just use the banister on our stairs.  I'll just tell him, "But honey, it came with a bonus exercise ball!"
