My thoughts and comments on my second trip through Chemotherapy for ovarian cancer.
September 19, 2007

Well eating all the red meat and spinach to boost my iron and help me with anemia tireness must have worked.  That, or my body has finally bounced back a little.  Regardless, thank you Jesus, I had some energy today.  Not that I ran a marathon or even got out of the house.  I was just happy that I didn't feel sleep the day away and could do useful and productive activities like a load of laundry and work on my photo album and cook some apples for fried apple pies for dessert.

Before chemo and cancer,  I would have been able to do all that around a full day of work too and still had energy for more.  Oh, I might have complained about being tired, not knowing how truly depleted and worn out a body can get filled with all the drugs to kill off cancer cells.   I dream and pray that I'll eventually get back to the point where I'll be a normal busy woman working and taking care of my husband and our house.   And when I am, I'll think back to days like now and give thanks for how far I've come.  Today may be very well be the first day of this new chapter.  Yes, today I'd like to say that I made a stand and will call this the start of "Taking Back My Life".
