It's late in the morning the day after a chemo treatment. And this time,  I had a very exciting chemo yesterday with a hypersensitvity reaction to one of my chemo drugs.   I got DOUBLE doses (yikes!) of 2 of my pre med drugs; one causes drowiness and the other causes sleeplessness and extra energy.  When I awoke, I don't know what to expect.  Will I be wide awake, full of energy, and climbing the walls with anxiety or in bed sleeping all day?   It could go either way. 

Well so far so good.  I slept pretty well last night.  Usually I can't sleep after a treatment because of the side effect of sleeplessness from Decadron. But this time,the drowsy drug (Benadryl) won out over the sleeplessness drug.   And so far this morning, I'm up and on the computer and even did a load of laundry.  So Decadron has make a comeback and is winning at this point.  Now later I know both the pre meds will lose to the chemo drugs and I'll start to get other more intense side effects and sleep for most of the next 2 days, but for now I'm doing okay.  It may turn out to be a good day after all.
