My thoughts and comments on my second trip through Chemotherapy for ovarian cancer.
October 16, 2007

It's days after my infusion but I still have all the many side effects.  It seems like they just won't go away.  The first time I did chemo treatments back in 2005,  the infusions were 3 weeks apart, and granted it was really very, very bad right after each infusion, but each day would get a little better and by the end of the 2nd week I would start to feel somewhat okay.  But now with my current chemo treatments, the infusions are 2 out of every 3 weeks so there's no time.  Just when I start to feel okay, it's time for another infusion.  It feels like I'm always going in for infusions and that I always have side effects.

With my 5th chemo round being so hard with the allergic reaction to Carboplatin, I'm not surprised that it's still rough for me.  I suspect that it'll be rough from here on out.  I'm so glad that I only have one more round to do.  Trust me, it can't end soon enough, but I'm not looking forward to doing this last infusion over night in the hospital.
