My world changed today.  The reality of cancer has hit.  Earlier this morning, I lost my friend to cancer.   My first friend to die from this awful disease.  My first friend who shared with me her struggles, who shared her strength, who shared her faith and hope, who I will dearly miss. 

I can't help but feel more scared and alone and sad without her.  But I know that she's with Jesus now and finally at peace and happy and won't have to deal with her cancer any more.   So for my brave friend, until I see you again, you were an inspiration to me and others.  Thank you for your loving support.  I will continue to fight.
